The Bato Bucket (also known as the Dutch Bucket)

The Bato Bucket (also known as the Dutch Bucket) is an efficient drip irrigation system and is extremely suitable for larger, long-term crops such as vine tomatoes, peppers (capsicum), cucumbers and even roses are grown world over using this system..This is one of the most popular methods of growing vine crops and plants with large root systems. This is a media based hydroponic method. You can use just about any type of growing media, including expanded clay pellets, perlite, and coconut coir.

The nutrient solution is collected and recycled. This uses one tenth of the water and one tenth of the fertilizer when compared to field grown crops. The overflow outlet is connected into a central 1 1/2-in PVC drainpipe. The bucket has a highly effective internal discharge system. By installing the two elbows (included), the overflow water is suctioned from the lowest level of the bucket and discharged into the central drainpipe. This will eliminate the pooling of stagnant water.  This feature prevents growing medium from drying out and causing water stress between irrigation cycles. Siphon pipe also prevents over accumulation of nutrient solution.

Dutch Buckets are ideal for both small- and large-scale hydroponic growing. Our Dutch Bucket Drip Irrigation Hydroponic Systems offer endless expansion possibilities.Grow like the pros!
